chickens living at michigan sanctuary

Tremendous THANK YOU for making our Lai Thai vegan buffet fundraiser a tremendous success. Thank you so kindly for joining us and for supporting our expansion project!

Our events at the sanctuary are a way for people to come to their own understanding that all species are deserving of respect and care. Every event is an occasion that kids (and their adults!) can connect with the nature, animals, learn about the benefits of plant-based living, the importance of caring for our earth, and fall in love with the residents here!

Upcoming events (remember that you may request private tours or small group tours outside of listings here... contact us for more info

Our next sanctuary tour dates are Sat. 7/27 at 6 pm (FILLED) and Sat. 8/31. The sanctuary tours are a very casual, simple way to get to know the animals here in a small group setting. You will learn about the animal's histories and what life is like now for them, what sanctuary life is like in general, take photos and videos, and just take time to connect with them as you'd like.

The tour and informative portion only lasts about 30 minutes depending on what group questions are asked; you may stay for as short or as long as you'd like! A waiver is required and donations are graciously accepted for our 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Find the event on our facebook page or email us ( to sign up. This small group is limited to 15 people.

Our next Pigs & Kids events are on Sat. 10/12 and Sat. 11/2, each one is a 2 hour event full of fun and activities and getting to know our residents, along with learning about animal care, nature and the environment, landfills and recycling. Both start at 1:30 (park & sign in 1:30-2) with organized activities from 2-4.

Pigs & Kids tickets will be available HERE for 10/12.
