chickens living at michigan sanctuary

Our events at the sanctuary are a way for people to come to their own understanding that all species are deserving of respect and care. Every event is an occasion that people can connect with the animal residents here, learn about them, and have an opportunity talk about the benefits of plant-based living for the environment and health, if those conversations are desired.

On this page, scroll down to find information about small group tours & other events.

Remember that you are absolutely welcome to request private tours or small group tours outside of listings here... contact us for more info or with any questions.

Check out all of the dates for our small group tours here: and get your tickets. Tickets are $5 per person (all ages welcome) and each tour is limited to a small group of 12 people total. The ticket cost for any event is essentially a donation that you are making to our 501(c)(3) non-profit towards animal care essentials. We are happy to make exceptions for larger groups- just email and let us know about your situation or group!

The sanctuary tours are a very casual, relaxed way to get to know the animals in a small group setting. You will learn about the animal's histories, what their life used to be like and what it is like now, what sanctuary life entails in general, you'll be welcome to take photos and videos, and just enjoy time to connect with them as you'd like. Hands on time with some of the animals is typically part of the visit, but the animal's comfort and desires come first. The ticket link includes more information about your visit with a small group tour, within each individual listing.

The tour and informative portion only lasts 30-60 minutes depending on what group questions are asked; you may stay for an hour to an hour and a half spending time with and learning about the animals!

A waiver is required upon your arrival and donations are graciously accepted for our animal care fund. Get TICKETS here (make sure you choose the right dates) or email us to sign up or for more information.
